CME INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) has announced the following trading schedule for the Independence Day holiday (all times are Central time):

CME FLOOR TRADING AND GLOBEX

Wednesday, July 3

 

All interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity futures and options on futures traded on CME�s trading floors close at noon (except commodity options, which close at 12:02 p.m.). Stock index and GSCI products close at their regularly scheduled times.

GLOBEX electronic trading closes at noon for commodity products and 3:15 p.m. for interest rate, foreign exchange and stock index products.

Thursday, July 4

Exchange trading floors are closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

GLOBEX halts at 10:30 a.m. and resumes trading at

5:30 p.m. for the GLOBEX� trade date of Friday, July 5, 2002.

Friday, July 5

Interest rate, foreign exchange, commodity futures and GSCI products traded on CME�s trading floors and on GLOBEX close at noon (except commodity options, which close at 12:02 p.m.).

Stock index products traded on the trading floor and on GLOBEX close at 12:15 p.m.

SIMEX

Due to the Independence Day holiday, only the AM � SIMEX inter-exchange processing cycle will be run on Thursday, July 4th, 2002. Normal inter-exchange processing will resume on Friday, July 5th, 2002.
